*At Carlson College you will receive an education that begins with a great Swedish massage foundation. Upon successful completion of this coursework, students then move into the neuromuscular based work that we call "Specifics". This work is rehabilitative based and educates the students on how to effectively treat chronic or acute muscular dysfunction. Combining these two modalities is what makes our graduates highly marketable in the healthcare community and why our graduates are in high demand!
*Did you know that Carlson College of Massage Therapy is the ONLY massage college in Iowa that is approved to offer Federal Student Aid that exclusively teaches massage therapy? It's TRUE!
*Our programs are 6 months (Full Time-775 hours) and 11.5 months (700 hours) in length!
*The United States Department of Labor lists massage therapy in their occupational outlook handbook as a career with growth of 22% from now until 2028! That is as "much faster than average" compared to other occupations!

*We are excited to share that our licensing exam (MBLEx) passing rate is well above the State of Iowa average as well as the national average. 100% of our Spring 2020 Full Time graduates passed on their first attempt!
*We are the first school in Iowa accredited by COMTA (Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation). In Iowa, schools do not have to be accredited. We choose to be accredited for reasons that greatly benefit and protect the student. PLEASE NOTE: graduating from an accredited school is required in several states such as Arizona! Should you want to relocate, this is VERY important! An education with us allows for better portability throughout the country!
