Traditional Thai II

Traditional Thai Massage: Supine 2, Side-Lying and Seated Positions

This CE class is modeled after the teachings of the Masters of Thai

Massage of Thailand, a series of stretches, based on assisted yoga postures and acupressure.

The massage will be practices on a
floor mat, fully clothed and without oil.  The practitioner utilizes feet, knees, elbows, forearms, and hands to apply rhythmic pressure to soft tissues, and apply body weight with proper breathe and body mechanics, to achieve greater depth without physical effort.

Join Ova for this class as you learn and practice these sequences of stretches, and the flowing, dancelike therapist transitions, body mechanics, and acupressure
.

It is not required that you attend both classes in the two part series although if one chooses to they would then be able to advertise yourself as a Thai Therapist.

Participants are asked to bring a Thai mat (if possible, CCMT does have a few to offer for use in this class), a yoga, exercise mat or a blanket, and 2 small rectangular pillow cases.

Be sure to wear loose fitting clothes (no belts, jeans, etc.) for this highly interactive movement based work.
