Benign and Malignant Skin Conditions

Do you know what to do if your client has scabies? Do you wonder how to best treat your psoriasis client? Do you know the difference between melanoma and a mole? This fun and informative workshop walks you through various benign and malignant skin conditions commonly encountered by massage therapists. Each condition is visually illustrated with multiple PowerPoint slides, and discussed with reference to prevalence, signs/symptoms, treatment, and whether massage is indicated or contraindicated.

This is the only course in the country taught by an instructor who is a massage therapist AND dermatology PA with clinical experience in skin diseases and skin care. Do not miss this opportunity to learn from a professional!

Participants will discuss and view photos of:

·         common benign skin conditions arising from bacterial, fungal and viral infections

·         common benign general conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, seborrhea

·         skin cancers, and malignant melanoma compared to common moles
