The Fundamentals of Acupressure Class gives you 12 CE Hours covering 25 powerful, basic energic balancing points for a full body treatment while sitting beside the table with the client fully, lightly clothed, (or not, if added in during a regular oil massage). Based on Acupuncture points, the pressure is light to medium with the fingers, but deeply accesses the energy lines to the organs.
In addition, the provided, photo/text, class manual from the Jin Shin Do® Foundation by founder Iona Marsaa Teaguarden, provides several short release patterns: shoulder and neck release, headache release, backache release, digestion, etc. which will be practiced for exact point locations on ourselves and each other. This is a clothes on class.
As a warm-up to the massage, we will practice easy Qi Gong exercises and Pranayama breathing practices that coincide with the relaxation, rejuvenation, and balancing of the energy lines for ourselves and others.
A bit about Ova………….I have been practicing and teaching Yoga and Thai Massage, studied by Masters in Thailand, since 1995- Present on Maui, Hawaii, and New Mexico. I started studying Jin Shin Do® with Senior Teacher, Sara Rose, Maui, in 2001 and finished the Master Classes in 2008, teaching the Fundamentals of Acupressure 2010-Now.
