Anatomy/Physiology and Pathology - We believe it is of paramount importance that the student has an understanding and awareness of the human body and its' functions in order to apply their massage therapy skills effectively and professionally; therefore, the Anatomy/Physiology and Pathology portion of the program is college level, and emphasized. Massage Therapy and Related Skills - Our goal is to assist the student to become a skilled professional practitioner of massage therapy. To accomplish this, we teach a strong foundation of Swedish Massage, applying intermediate and advanced tissues. We then incorporate the more technical skills to address deep tissues, individual muscles and specific conditions. Additional forms of body work are also introduced, encouraging the student to integrate these techniques to create their own style. |
